EXTRA CURRICULAR CODE OF CONDUCT
In addition to the expectations set out in the Student Code of Conduct, students representing ADSS in extra-curricular activities are required to observe the following expectations:
Extra-Curricular Code of Conduct
It is a privilege to participate in extra-curricular activities at ADSS, and representation of ADSS carries with it specific expectations beyond those outlined in the Student Code of Conduct. Accordingly, students agree to obey the following expectations:
Student Participation and Conduct
1. To be eligible to participate, I realize that I must be working to the best of my ability in all subjects.
2. I realize that an unsatisfactory attendance, citizenship or sportsmanship record will rule me ineligible to participate.
3. I recognize that extra-curricular involvement often requires extra work of the part of my teachers. I will make an extra effort to request permission to miss class, I will attend T- Block and other tutorial times as required, and I will co-operate fully in completing assignments on time.
4. I will conduct myself in an orderly manner, both on and off the school premises, in such a way as to bring credit to myself, my school and my family.
5. My conduct and appearance while travelling to extra-curricular events will be exemplary in all respects.
6. I will ride to and from all extra-curricular events in school transportation, unless special arrangements have been made with the coach and school administration.
7. I will be personally responsible for all school equipment and uniforms assigned to me, and will return them in same good condition when called for by the teacher/sponsor/coach.
8. I will attend all practices, rehearsals and meetings unless previously agreed to by my coach/sponsor.
9. I will report all illness or injury immediately to my coach/sponsor.
10. I understand that alcohol, drugs, and tobacco are both illegal and harmful, and will refrain from the use of these substances during curricular and extra-curricular events.
Consequences
I understand that a violation of this Code of Conduct will result in immediate disciplinary action from the school's organizing body and/or administration.
